Seven Mountaineers Named Summer League All-Stars

— Seven current Appalachian State University baseball student-athletes were named to all-star teams in their respective collegiate summer leagues over the past month.

Rising juniors Jaylin Davis (McLeansville, N.C./Northeast Guilford) and Dillon Dobson (Hamptonville, N.C./Starmount) both started for the South Division in the California Collegiate League All-Star Game on July 16 at the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy in Compton, Calif. Davis went 1-for-2 with a run scored while Dobson went 0-for-2 in the all-star contest, which ended in a 4-4 tie.
